01 · Why PressPLA

A printing service
that remembers.

A useful part is more than an STL file. It is the right material, orientation, finish, quantity, intended use and approved revision—kept together for the next order.

From file

Start with a real review.

Upload the model and context. We flag obvious risks and confirm what the part needs to do before production.

To product

Approve a production recipe.

The agreed revision, material, finish, declarations and quantity rules stay attached to the product record.

To repeat orders

Reorder without rebuilding the brief.

Choose the saved product, enter a quantity and send the next batch into production.

Your digital product shelf

Clear use from day one

No hidden assumptions.

A print for a desk ornament is not the same brief as a part that touches food or supports a safety-critical system. A simple timestamped declaration makes the intended use explicit before production.

The declaration records the customer’s intended use; it is not a certification of suitability. Jobs with regulated or higher-risk uses require separate review.

Intended-use declaration

Quote request · PPLA-DRAFT-841
31/08/2026 · 20:42 BST
Will the part be used in aerospace?Flight, ground support or related systems
Will the part be used in a medical context?Diagnosis, treatment, patient contact or assistive use
Will the part contact food or drink?Direct or repeated contact
Is the part safety-critical or load-bearing?Failure could cause injury, loss or material damage
Is the part intended for children?Toy, childcare or unsupervised handling

Selecting “Yes” does not automatically reject a job. It routes the request for a clearer requirements and risk review before a quote is confirmed.

07 · Questions

Useful answers.
No sales fog.

Straight answers about prototypes, repeat orders, marketplace fulfilment and model licensing.

Can I order a single prototype?

Yes. PressPLA supports one-off development work as well as repeat batches. A first print can become the approved baseline for later orders.

What happens after I upload a file?

The file and use context enter a quote request. PressPLA can review obvious manufacturability issues, confirm material and production choices, then return a quote or a focused question.

Can I reorder exactly the same part?

That is the core of PressPLA. Once a revision and production specification are approved, they remain attached to a saved product record for future orders.

Can PressPLA dropship my Etsy, eBay or TikTok Shop orders?

Yes. Start with manual order handoff, then move toward a connected storefront workflow as demand grows. PressPLA can make an approved product in the UK and dispatch it to the buyer using the saved production and packing specification.

Can I sell any model I find on MakerWorld or Thingiverse?

No. The model licence must permit commercial physical prints, and attribution or share-alike conditions may apply. PressPLA checks the source at quote time and does not treat a popular download as automatic permission to sell.

Does the use-case declaration certify my product?

No. It records the customer’s stated intended use and helps route higher-risk work for additional review. The end seller remains responsible for product-level testing, labelling and legal compliance unless a separate written service says otherwise.

Will storefront integrations be available?

The platform is designed API-first so integrations can be added later. The initial experience should make manual ordering and reordering excellent before adding automated storefront flows.

A good file deserves a reliable next order.

Start with the model. Build the production record. Make the next batch simpler.
